Applying for a Student Visa

To apply for a student visa you must be sponsored by the University of Westminster. We will assist you in this by providing you with your Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) once you have paid us a minimum deposit of £4,000.

The CAS is a unique reference number which UKBA need for your visa application form. The CAS confirms that the University of Westminster is sponsoring your student visa for this course under Tier 4 of the UK Points Based Immigration System.

Once you have received email confirmation that your place has been confirmed with UCAS, or you have an unconditional offer from the University, you should pay the deposit. Please send proof that you have paid your deposit to your admissions office. Their contact details will be on the email we send to you.

Please check your CAS carefully to ensure that all the information is correct. If anything needs to be updated please contact your admissions office and ensure that it is corrected before you use the CAS. If your visa application is refused for any other reason, you will be eligible for a full deposit refund. This will be subject to the receipt of the original visa rejection letter.

We will need to send your passport number to UKBA as part of the CAS requirements. If you have not already provided your passport number through UCAS then please email it to the Admissions Office when you confirm that you have paid the deposit.
