Fees and funding
Studying at university is a long-term investment in your future.
Fees
Westminster, like most other universities, charges fees of £3,375 to new students from the UK and EU.
Providing you meet the eligibility rules for Home (UK and EU) undergraduates, you can take out a Fees Loan to cover your full fees at the beginning of each academic year.
You will not have to pay this back until you are working and earning at least £15,000 a year, and you may also be able to take payment holidays from your loan repayments during your working life.
You will need to apply for this loan - if you don't, or you are not entitled to a loan, you will have to pay the fees yourself.
If you have already studied at degree level, then you will be liable for a higher fee and not eligible for further support .
You can access full fee information at westminster.ac.uk/study/fees-and-funding
Money to live on
If you are a UK student studying full-time and you are eligible for a Fees Loan, you can also apply for extra support to help with living expenses. Some EU and other nationals will also be able to apply. What you get dependson your income and circumstances, but you could be eligible for:
- a Maintenance Grant of up to £2,906 a year (which you won't have to pay back) if your household income is less than £25,000 a year
- a partial Maintenance Grant - if your household income is between £25,000 and £50,020 a year
- a £400 University of Westminster bursary (which you will not have to pay back) if you receive the maximum amount of Maintenance Grant.
You will also be able to get a Maintenance Loan of:
- up to £6,928 a year if you study in London and live away from home
- Up to £3,838 a year if you live with your parents. Your Maintenance Loan entitlement will be reduced if you receive a Maintenance Grant.
