What you need to do in Clearing

DIDN’T GET THE GRADES YOU WANTED?
NOT SURE WHAT TO STUDY?

1. Look at our Clearing website
Check that the course you want to apply for is included in the vacancy list. If you can't find the course you are looking for why not consider an alternative. You don't have to stick to the subject choices you made originally.

2. Contact our Clearing Team
Once you have your exam results, you can contact us about the possibility of gaining a place through Clearing. If you do not have your exam results, you should wait until you have them before approaching us. Before you call ensure that you have your 10 digit UCAS Personal ID ready.

To speak to our Clearing Team, call us on 0800 027 9777. International students should call +44 20 7911 5000 or email clearing@westminster.ac.uk.

Alternatively, complete the online enquiry form and submit your details by email.

If you are made an offer to study at the University of Westminster then we will send an email confirmation to you within one hour. If you do not get this email then please check your junk mail folder. If you still haven't received the email then please contact us on 0800 027 9777 or email clearing@westminster.ac.uk We will need to know your reference number, name, and the course you have been offered a place on.

3. Accepting an offer
Once you have spoken to a member of our Clearing Team and have provisionally been given a place you must add a Clearing choice through UCAS Track.

Once we have offered you a place in Clearing, we will give you a date by which you must enter course details on Track. If you want to be formally considered, you need to click on your 'Add Clearing choice' button and enter the course details.

You can only enter details for one choice. Only enter a Clearing choice if we have provisionally offered you a place on the course and you want to accept it. If you enter a Clearing choice without discussing it with us, this may delay the progress of your application.

If you only made a single choice on your original application, you can pay a further £10 to apply through Clearing.

4. Your place is confirmed
UCAS will let us know that you have entered your course details on Track. If we accept you, the acceptance will be displayed in the 'choices' section of Track and we will send you an email to let you know your place is confirmed. You will also be able to access information for new students on our website giving details of enrolment, orientation etc

5. If you have not applied
Don't worry if you have not applied through UCAS this year. We are still happy to speak to you. If you are accepted onto one of our courses we will guide you through the process of registering at UCAS.

If you have applied to another institution then please let us have your Personal ID number. You must tell us if you have already applied through UCAS this year.

6. Adjustment
If you are seeking a place through Adjustment you should make this clear when you first contract us. If you decide to accept a place through adjustment, you should contact us at clearing@westminster.ac.uk.
